Firefox 3 is here (sort of)

Well, it looks like the world's enthusiasm for Firefox has crippled Mozilla's website. I guess the powers that be underestimated our adoration for the "little browser that could." I could be imagining things, but the Internet in general has seemed a little sluggish today.

The first few times I tried to get Firefox 3, I'd get the download page with a version 3 download button, only to push it and have version 2 start downloading onto my machine. Then, for quite a while, the site wouldn't load at all. But after many patient attempts, I finally met with success at about 12:15pm, MST.

And there was much rejoicing.

I just had an IT guy show me how to put this Firefox on my computer (we're trying to skirt our way around some IE issues), and I remembered you had posted something about this Mozilla thing. What is it that I should know about this (and I mean in the simplest laymen's terms you can come up with)? (He showed me where to click to install it and then left, so I don't really know anything about it.) Do I NEED to know anything specific about it, or just use it the same as I did the Internet Explorer?

Should I do the add-on of that No-Script? And Flashblock?

Yeah, you install and use it just like IE, and you don't have to install any add-ons like No Script or Flashblock, but you can if you like. They're easy to remove.

I use Forecastfox, the eBay companion, and a few other add-ons, but none of them are necessary for web surfin'. They're just cool tools.
