Elk Burgers!



Take 1 pound of ground elk and place in a bowl. Coat thoroughly with lemon pepper and onion salt. Lightly top with chili powder, form into patties and smoke over hickory chips at medium heat for 20 minutes, turning only once at 10 minutes. After turning, brush lightly with your favorite sauce or melted butter. Enjoy!

I am scared that any burger with the power to steal all color from your surroundings just can't be right.

Ha! The "buger" did make me laugh! I can personally attest that the Ragamuffinwriter makes a mean elk burger! I thoroughly enjoyed the one he cooked for me! :-)

Leave off the bugers but a sno cone sure sounds refreshing in this hot weather we're having!!! 'fraid I can't make it all the way to Jerry's but we have some fair substitutes here in the Heartland that'll have to do for now!
