Take 1 pound of ground elk and place in a bowl. Coat thoroughly with lemon pepper and onion salt. Lightly top with chili powder, form into patties and smoke over hickory chips at medium heat for 20 minutes, turning only once at 10 minutes. After turning, brush lightly with your favorite sauce or melted butter. Enjoy!

So is elk the road kill for you guys? Kinda like Possum Armadillo round these parts?
I am scared that any burger with the power to steal all color from your surroundings just can't be right.
The power to steal color. Now that's funny.
smoked buger sounds real nice bro, i'm feeling like making a run to Charlie's
Yum.
Nice T-shirt!
I don't know brad--buger just doesn't sound very appealing.
To each his own...
Shiloh seems to like 'em.
Ha! The "buger" did make me laugh! I can personally attest that the Ragamuffinwriter makes a mean elk burger! I thoroughly enjoyed the one he cooked for me! :-)
You were the Guinea pig, Honey. I've got it perfected now.
:-)
Don't know how it tastes but sure looks good!!!
That shirt there, would that be THE Jerry's Snow Cones, as in Macon Rd. .... national historical site?!?!
You know it, courtesy of my little brother!
bugers and sno cones, nothing better.
Leave off the bugers but a sno cone sure sounds refreshing in this hot weather we're having!!! 'fraid I can't make it all the way to Jerry's but we have some fair substitutes here in the Heartland that'll have to do for now!
